What is the Campbell Police Foundation?
Founded in 2012, the Campbell Police Foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting local law enforcement, crime prevention, and emergency response by providing funding, training, and equipment. It collaborates with the City and Police Department to address critical needs. Donations are tax-deductible under IRS 501(c)(3).

Is the Campbell Police Foundation part of the Police Department or the City of Campbell?
No. The Foundation is an independent non-profit that strengthens community ties to public safety professionals, offering supplemental funding for law enforcement and enhancing public safety in Campbell.
Is there a difference Between the Campbell Police Foundation and the Campbell Police Officers' Association:
The Foundation is a local non-profit dedicated to enhancing public safety and funding police programs, technology, and training in Campbell. The Police Officers' Association is a labor union that represents police officers in salary, benefits, and employment negotiations with the city.
Who runs the Foundation?
The Foundation is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, made up of Campbell residents, business owners, and local stakeholders. A representative from the Campbell Police Department attends board meetings as a non-voting department liaison. Additional volunteers help with various tasks such as website management and marketing/outreach collateral.
How are funds raised by the Campbell Police Foundation spent?
Nearly 100% of funds raised are spent on mission-related expenditures. The Foundation funds equipment, new technology, innovative projects, community relations efforts and wellness enhancements for human and K9 personnel. We do not cover municipal responsibilities like employee salaries or ammunition. Grant requests from the Police Department are reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors by a majority vote.
